Husband and wife duo Ilya and Nadia started Leaning Post winery in Niagara over 10 years ago. Initially a virtual set up, the winery now located on Highway 8, has become a reference producer in Niagara.

The density, body, structure and balance of this wine is unparalleled. The nose shows beautiful sugar beet, bing cherry, rose petals and mushroom with a background of tarragon and basil and hints of peppery intensity. The palate follows the nose while adding mulberry, tobacco, and fresh-turned-earth and fallen leaves. A medium-full bodied wine with lots of fresh, young fruit and balanced acidity and tannin make this a wine that will age gracefully for at least 10 years.

Delivery timeline: We require one full case of each wine in order to build and fulfill four mixed cases. This process usually takes about 10-15 business days but may vary.

When the evenings start to cool, these luscious reds are just the thing to ease into the new season. This curated mixed case highlights classic regions and grapes with styles that balance freshness, fruit, and depth.

This classic Bordeaux blend features 50% Merlot and 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, cultivated in the sandy, and clayey soils of Côtes de Bordeaux, and aged for six months in stainless steel vats. The wine is fruity, with lots of red berries and a lovely texture.

Red | Tempranillo

The wine is made from quality, low-yield grapes from small plots of old vines located on hillsides parcelas on limestone soils. Around a quarter of the wine is aged for 6 months in new French oak barrels, giving it complexity and texture.

It has pure, intense primary aromas of black cherry and dark berry with a hint of violet and clove. Medium-bodied, it displays remarkable complexity and concentration. The fruit quality shines through, displaying the character typical of the cooler Rioja Alavesa climate, without being masked by excessive oak aging.

Red | Touriga Nacional, Sousão

This is a fresh, balanced rendition of a classic Douro red. Preserving the intrinsic bent toward the richness and power of the Douro, all while showcasing balance, minerality and elegance. Some of the vines tended at an altitude of 200m to 540 m altitude in schist soils, and others at 600m altitude in granitic soils elevation, both in Cima Corgo, Douro. This is a subregion that experiences extreme highs and lows from a temperature standpoint, with some of the greatest day-night temperature delta in Portugal. As such the fruit experiences extended hangtime.

Deep violet. On the nose, redolent of black and blue fruit tinged with violets and wet stone. On the palate, rich but balanced, with fresh acidity coupling the dark blueberry and plum fruit. Finishes long and spicy, with a big dose of flowers and minerals.

Red | Malbec

L'irrésistible Lune Noire is made with 100% Malbec from the Comté Tolossan IGP. It is full and rich, yet extremely easy to drink.

On the nose, Lune Noire has pleasant aromas of red and black fruit, and hints of juniper, nutmeg and cedar wood. Full and sumptuous on the palate, the tannins are silky and the finish is flavourful.  

Pair this powerful red with roasted meat or lamb chops.

Elegant & Crisp

Château Haut Grelot is located near the Gironde Estuaire, north of the town of Bordeaux. Haut Grelot has been making wine and taking great care of their vineyards since its establishment in 1920!

This Crémant de Bordeaux is crafted from 100 % Sémillon, cultivated at a yield of 60 hl/ha on a 1‑hectare plot with sandy‑loamy and clayey soils, giving it a distinctive terroir. The grapes are manually harvested and immediately cold‑pressed under an inert atmosphere, ensuring delicate handling and preservation of freshness. After 9 months of élevage, it is bottled with sugar liqueur and yeast, and the bottles are turned daily to gently shift the lees. Final disgorgement with liqueur enhances the mousse, culminating in a wine with a pale‑yellow robe and fine bubbles. On the palate, it presents elegant, lovely floral and fruity flavors, marrying freshness, harmony, and complexity, and finishing with a long, graceful aftertaste.

Ideal as an aperitif or with cake and pastries.

Crafted with minimal intervention to maximize expression, the wine reflects the pure character of Loureiro: aromatic, precise, and deeply evocative of the Atlantic breeze.

Rich & Elegant

Located along the edge of the Haut Medoc and at the very beginning of the Margaux appellation, Château Laronde-Desormes shows exceptional character beyond its simple “Bordeaux Supérieur” appellation. Harvested at extremely low yields, the resulting wine is full of finesse and elegance, with well-balanced bright fruit and a long, satisfying finish.  A concentrated blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot, it tastes more like one of its more costly Margaux neighbors than a humble Bordeaux rouge.

The wood-aged wine's fruit is developing along with ripe tannins. It has a touch of spice and black-currant flavors. It is an attractive wine, ready from 2025.
The Laronde Desormes is especially deep in color, hauntingly aromatic, and packed with blackberry and cassis fruit as well as plenty of ample ripe tannins.

Fine red Bordeaux like the Château Laronde Desormes is a versatile wine that pairs beautifully with poultry, red meats, rich sauces, and game—think duck, pheasant, quail—or dishes like Sautéed Veal Medallions, Filet Mignon with shiitake mushrooms, or Chicken Fricassee. It also complements soft cow’s-milk cheeses (Gouda, Morbier, Muenster, Port Salut) and shines when served alongside simple, fresh, high-quality ingredients.

Textured & Mineral

When Michel Muré settled in Rouffach and planted his vineyard in the 17th century, he surely had little conception of the beautiful adventure that he was setting in motion for his descendants. In 1935, Alfred Muré extended the property with the addition of the 12-hectare (25-acre) wholly owned Clos Saint Landelin, foreseeing already its potential for exceptional quality. He replanted the terraces, ideally situated with their sunny exposure and shelter from the rain.

Nowadays it is Alfred’s grandson René, together with his children Véronique and Thomas, the 11th and 12th generations of the family, who are responsible for running this exceptional, wholly-owned vineyard and its neighbouring terroirs, using biodynamic methods.

Muré's Sylvaner is a lovely wine.  On the nose, it delivers delicate aromas and flavours of quince, green apple and mineral. On the palate, it finishes long and clean with a soft refined perfume. 

Lovely as an aperitif; a must with shellfish and asparagus dishes.

Fresh & Crisp

Nestled on the rolling hills of Abruzzo near Vasto, the Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo from the Jasci family, who have cultivated vineyards for three generations, is a vibrant, organic-certified rosé that showcases the region's rich winemaking tradition.

This wine bursts with fruity notes of cherry and strawberry, complemented by subtle hints of grapefruit, apricot, and nectarine. It offers a fresh, lively profile with good body, balanced acidity, and a delightful aftertaste of bitter almond.

Perfectly suited to pair with light salads, seafood, and white meats, this Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo embodies elegance and delicacy, reflecting the sun-kissed terroir of the Abruzzo hills.

The Tomich family hails from the Adriatic Coast in Croatia where winemaking is a way of life. Jack Tomich Senior arrived in Australia in 1903, bringing with him all of the grape growing and winemaking skills of his forefathers. The family had always made their own wine for the family and grew sultanas and wine grapes after moving to the new irrigation settlement of Mildura in 1936. Jack’s son Ivan showed a real passion for wine, and by 1946 was producing and selling to local farmers. Three generations of grape growers and winemakers later, the Tomich family now owns one of the best sites in the Adelaide Hills and has kept its ancestral way of softly farming the land while advocating for regenerative growing practices.

The Tomich Hill range is handcrafted from estate grown fruit from high altitude, cool climate vineyards in the Adelaide Hills. This Pinot opens with inviting aromas of citrus and melon. On the palate, zesty citrus flavours are beautifully balanced by a subtle hint of honeyed richness, leading into a crisp, flinty finish.

The tangy freshness makes this wine an easy drinking favourite for a wide range of palates.

Ahi Kāi is a pioneering Marlborough wine company focused on producing exceptional single-vineyard Sauvignon Blanc through ethical, long-term partnerships with growers. Founded by internationally acclaimed winemaker Matt Thomson, Master of Wine Sophie Parker-Thomson, and foundation grower John Blackmore, Ahi Kā challenges the region’s low-value, commodity-driven model by prioritizing quality, sustainability, and transparency. Ahi Kā is a concept rooted in Te Ao Māori, traditionally translating to “keep the home fires burning.” Historically central to land rights in early Aotearoa (New Zealand), it has evolved in a modern context to represent guardianship and sustainable stewardship; Caring for the land with the intention of passing it on to future generations in a better state than it was found. This single-vineyard expression showcases intense passionfruit and blackcurrant aromas from one of Marlborough’s most highly acclaimed sites. Both siblings contribute to Maçanita Vinhos, but the challenging Douro Valley has been Joana’s passion project since the start, and Joana and her children even moved to the Porto area to be closer to the winery and vineyards. Setting down roots in the region has allowed her to focus her famous energy into expanding the rising star that is her Douro career.

This wine comes from a collection of parcels located in Carlão, Cima Corgo, with vineyards aged between 80 and 92 years, planted at an altitude of 510 meters. The soils of these vineyards are a transition between schist and granite, offering a unique terroir that reflects the diversity and richness of this Douro subregion.

The composition of Os Canivéis includes a blend of 11 traditional varieties, with a manual harvest conducted in 18 kg boxes and a winemaking process that combines partial destemming with whole clusters. The wine undergoes a 40-day maceration and is aged for 18 months in neutral French oak barrels, allowing its freshness and authentic character to shine through.

With a light ruby-violet color, Os Canivéis Tinto presents aromas of fresh fruit and dark chocolate. On the palate, it offers a creamy entry with firm and prolonged tannins, displaying an elegant structure. Ideal for pairing with dark meats, Asian cuisine, and spicy cheeses.

With a very limited production, it is an enological gem from the Douro, reflecting the artisanal approach and dedication to the winemaking tradition of this region.

This Reserva is the result of mixing the experience of the two winemakers, brother and sister, lots of “discussions”, lots of fun.  All grapes are hand-picked into 18kg cases. In the winery cold soak, spontaneus fermentation, post maceration on skins for 26 days. Aged 18 months in neutral french oak barrels.

Made with a blend of traditional Douro grapes. After a long period of maceration, the fermentation took place, with the help of indigenous yeasts,  in stainless steel vats. Then, the 60% of the batch has been transferred to French oak barrels, where it has stayed in contact with fine lees, for 9 months, and it was subjected to a regular stirring, before being mixed, filtered and bottled.

A unique white that goes well with a variety of soft cheeses. Lightly pungent, with a hint of Epoisses cheese, macadamia nuts and white mushrooms. Supple, subtle and attractively nutty on the palate, with a medium to full body and fresh but creamy acidity. Very composed and long. 

Robust & Savoury

Villa Calcinaia is located in the heart of Chianti Classico, near the village of Greve-in-Chianti. This Tuscan estate has been home to the Capponi family since 1524. It is now in the hands of 37th-generation Conte Sebastiano Capponi, who has managed the estate since 1992.

Produced from the best blocks of old vines with the sunniest exposition in the estate, near Greve in Chianti. The perfectly ripened, healthy grapes from each block are long fermented and then aged separately for 20 months in French oak 500 litres tonneaux and Slavonian oak 30 hl casks. After the cuvée is made the wine ages for another 4-6 months before its bottling.

The colour of the Riserva is rich ruby, yet the bouquet is mature in its fruit and judicious with its well integrated oak nuances. The taste is soft and velvety on the palate, showing fine structure in harmonious balance with the ripe fruits and uplifting acidity. The after taste is tireless and spicy. 

This is a bottle for important occasions, served alongside rich meat dishes but it will also bring much added enjoyment during conversations with fellow revellers!
