Under Lionel's leadership, "Lionel Osmin et Cie" was born to promote loud and clear the discovery of the unique grape varieties and terroirs of Southwest France. From Jurançon to Cahors,  Gaillac to Bergerac passing through Marcillac, Lionel Osmin & Co has become the sole transversal signature of wines from this underrated region. They are proud to share a range of wines whose characteristics are faithful to their terroirs and are made for those who wish to share in the joy of discovering what the Southwest of France has to offer!

The terraces of the Cahors AOP nestle among the meandering Lot River - these are the age-old lands of the Malbec grape. This wine has a deep, inky colour - almost black! Revealing wafts of violet petals along with ripe aromas of ripe blackberries, currants and black cherries on the nose. The fruits are supported on the palate by hints of liquorice spice and soft notes of cocoa. A wine that offers pleasure for the palate with its silky tannins and rich concentration of flavour.

This full, rich red wine can be combined with many French cuisine dishes, including: pan-fried mushrooms, meat fondues, truffled fattened hen, confited duck, coq au vin, grilled beef rib steak, tournedos, matured cheeses or Camembert, etc.

About the Winery

Lionel Osmin & Cie

Lionel Osmin & Cie started out with just a group of friends with the same keen passion, with the same love for wines from the South West. Then they had an idea to achieve what nobody had ever done before: to create a quality wine-broking house based on South Western wines following the example of other regions such as Burgundy or the Rhône.

With that founding principle, Lionel Osmin & Co was therefore created under the leadership of Lionel boasting the discovery of the unique wines and vineyards of this region. From Jurançon to Cahors, from Gaillac to Bergerac, passing through Marcillac, Lionel Osmin & Co has become the sole transversal signature of the wines from the South West and their vineyards whose secrets which are yet to be discovered!

The result is a range of wines whose characteristics are faithful to the region and which are made to share the joy of discovering the vines and wines that are enjoyed and loved.

89 Points

A rich and dense wine that has concentrated black fruits, firm tannins and bold, juicy richness. The wine is balanced, with its structure showing well against the fruit. Drink from 2021.
