Single lieu-dit, abutting Pommard, planted in 1985. Forty years is not nothing to bring pinot noir into the wealth and onto that stage of experience. A small 0.415 hectare plot picked on September the first in 2022, aromas captured, the seafood scent of brittle gill mushroom in its entry and more earthiness along the way. Much more so then the Savigny or Beaune cuvée and so while some diehards will feel rusticity and tradition, others will be invited to as well. For lovers of more classic design and pull, still with great ’22 fruit and the kind of structure that means this will live a good long life. Stretches its wings like a long, languid bird, the oiseau of Grands Poisots. Drink 2025-2033
