Delivery timeline: It requires four full cases of each wine in order for us to build and fulfill four mixed cases. This process usually takes about 7-10 business days but may vary.
Celebrate the arrival of spring with this mixed case of four wines: a crisp sparkling wine that captures the essence of blooming flowers, a fruit-forward rosé bursting with strawberry and citrus notes, a refreshing Sauvignon Blanc with zesty acidity and floral aromas, and a smooth Malbec that adds a hint of earthiness. This selection invites you to savour the vibrant flavours of the season with every sip.
Every mixed case includes 3 bottles of each wine.
3 bottles x Château Barouillet Splash Pét-Nat 2023 (South-West, Francel)
Sparkling | Sémillon
Located 50 km east from Saint-Émilion, the Barouillet family has been growing grapes for at least 8 generations in Pécharment, Monbazillac and Bergerac. Vincent Alexis, who joined his father in 2010, converted the vineyards to organic and is about to obtain the biodynamic certification.
This splashy Pét-Nat is made from 50 year old Sémillon vines grown in clay and limestone soils. It is light in alcohol (only 9%!), fragrant, lively and richly textured on the palate. This bubbly has notes of lemon and lime, fresh apple and a touch of cut grass. Plenty of fizz! Pop and enjoy!
3 bottles x Domaine de Mauperthuis Saint Bris Sauvignon Blanc 2022 (Burgundy, France)
White | Sauvignon Blanc
This is by far one of the coolest Sauvignon Blanc wines we have ever tasted. This white wine is made next door to Auxerre, in the region of Chablis. It's kind of a unicorn wine: in Burgundy, Chardonnay and Aligoté are generally the only white varieties allowed to be grown. However, St Bris is the exception! This white Burgundy is made with 100% Sauvignon Blanc.
The Saint Bris has aromas of citrus fruits like grapefruit and mandarin orange that jump out of the glass, this is followed by peach, and crushed blackcurrant leaves with light exotic scents like lychee. This complexity on the nose follows through on the palate which is textured, soft and floral, with a distinct minerality on the finish.
Saint Bris calls for oysters! It's also a wonderful choice with herb-driven sauces over chicken and fish dishes. We also love pairing it with Vietnamese and Thai meals with lots of lemon-grass, and fresh cheeses.
3 bottles x Mas Carlot Générations Rosé Costières de Nîmes 2023 (Costieres de Nimes, France)
Rosé | Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre
Mas Carlot is situated in the south of the Rhône Valley, extending across 76 hectares of pebbly land southeast of Nîmes.
This seductive rosé is a traditional blend of Grenache (50%), Syrah (40%) and Mourvèdre (10%). Beautifully pale in colour and soft in texture, this is probably the most fashionable vintage to date. Delicate aromas of raspberry, watermelon, citrus fruits & herbes de Provence flow from the glass. The flavours are fruity, dry and crisp with an elegant balance & structure. This is a serious rose at an accessible price.
Mas Carlot Rosé is the perfect rosé to pair with any summer time meal, including tapas and barbecue. It is also a great wine to enjoy with cheese boards or just on it's own at any time!
3 bottles x Château Lamartine Cuvée Tradition Malbec Cahors 2020 (Cahors, France)
Red | Malbec
The origin of Château Lamartine goes back to 1883, when Lise and Benjamin’s great grand father acquired a piece of land and started to farm grapes and sell wine in barrels. The winery holds the 'Haute Valeur Environnementale' certificate in sustainability, and are right now in their third year of organic conversion.
The Cahors AOP is right in between the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean sea. We could say that it’s the heart of the South West. Due to its geographic situation, the appellation has a particular microclimate, which is perfect for Malbec.
This is a rich wine with powerful tannins. It has ripe dark blue and black fruit notes with a touch of vanilla. While the tannins are full the wine has a great acid backbone to maintain the structure. This is a top value, structured and succulent red that is ready to sip alongside some salty, fatty protein.
