Delivery timeline:
It requires one case of each wine in order for us to build and fulfill six mixed cases. This process usually takes about 7-10 business days but may vary.

Each case includes 2 bottles of the following wines:

2 bottles x Gilvesy Bohem Balatoni Cuvée 2021 (Lake Balaton, Hungary)
White | Olaszrizling, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc

Gilvesy winery is located in the outskirts of Lake Balaton, near an ancient dormant volcano, in Hungary. Hungarian expat Robert Gilvesy moved back to his homeland from Canada to start this exciting project involving native grape varieties and volcanic soils. This blend is light and fresh. On the nose, it's all about hints of mint, lemon and fresh cucumber, while on the palate it's zesty, with notes of green apple and citrus fruit.

Pairing suggestion: It's delicious when paired with summer meals: fresh salads dressed with dried fruits such as cranberries and walnuts, grilled fish with potatoes and zesty ceviches.

2 bottles x Domaine Viret Solstice Blanc Dry 2021 (Rhône, France)

White | Clairette, Marsanne, Vermentino, Viognier

Solstice Blanc is a thirst-quenching natural white wine with aromas of flowers and stone fruit made from Vermentino, Muscat petit grain, Marsanne, Viognier, Clairette and Bourboulenc grown in the south-facing terraces of Aygues. It was hand-harvested and fermented with native yeasts in concrete vats. Full bodied, on the nose it has aromas of almonds and lime zest, and a hint of wild Mediterranean herbs and spice. On the palate, it is round and creamy, with notes of vanilla, orange peel and candied grapefruit.

Pairing suggestion: Pair this wine with roast fish with cannellini beans and green olives

2 bottles x Matthias Hager Riesling Alte Reben Steinleiten 2018 (Kamptal, Austria)
White | Riesling

The Riesling Alte Reben comes - as its name implies - from old vines. The grapes are planted in the 1960-ies on a clay soil with stony base at 320m above sea-level. Because of their age the quantity is rather little but the quality is therefore very high. The grapes and berries are very little but the potential for maturity is very high. The harvest is always rather late. A part of Riesling Alte Reben 18 was fermented on the skin (10%) and aged in oak barrels. The rest made its spontaneous fermentation in steel tank. Combined it is a very complex white wine with a good structure, a nice mouth-feeling and a mix of fruitiness and minerality.

Pairing suggestion: This a typical Gruner Veltliner of the Kamptal region and a very food-friendly wine. It's a great match with cold starters and typical Austrian home cooking: roast pork, schnitzel, meat dumplings...

2 bottles x Bodegas Puiggrós Exedra Negre 2020 (Catalonia, Spain)
Red | Grenache

Exedra Negre is made exclusively with Garnatxa planted on limestone and clay soils, at 500 meters above sea level, with a breath-taking view to the beautiful mountains of Montserrat, in the outskirts of the village of Odena. A portion of the wine ferments and ages in amphora, while the other part does the fermentation in large concrete tanks. This Catalan red is fresh and delightful, with aromas of red berries, delicate hints of spices and a note of sub-bois. On the palate is juicy and light, with smooth tannins and a great acidity.

Pairing suggestion: Perfect to pair with stews and braises of all kinds.

2 bottles x Domaine Baud 'Rouge Ancestral' Côtes du Jura AOC 2020 (Jura, France)
Red | Trousseau, Pinot Noir

A delicious blend of 70% Trousseau and 30% Pinot Noir, this cuvée is named “Ancestral” because it is made from Baud's oldest plots of red grapes planted by Clementine and Bastien's grandfather. This light and whimsical red wine has aromas of leather and concentrated notes of morello cherry and wild strawberries. The tannins are soft, silky, and elegant. Extra sensation with a light chill.

Pairing suggestion: Enjoy it on its own, or serve with red meats such as game and venison.

2 bottles x The Flower and The Bee Sousón D.O. Ribeiro 2020 (Galicia, Spain)
Red | Sousón

This wine is the starting point to understand and appreciate the complexity of the Galician terroir and its native grape varieties. Deliciously easy-drinking, Coto de Gomariz has wanted The Flower and the Bee to be enjoyed unapologetically! Shimmering violet. Smoke- and spice-accented cherry pit, blackberry and floral scents are complemented by hints of liquorice and succulent herbs. Nicely concentrated yet lively as well, offering bitter cherry and dark berry flavours that slowly unfurl through the back half. Closes long and subtly chewy, with firming tannins and repeating spice and floral notes.

Pairing suggestion: Enjoy on its own, or pair it with Spanish tapas.

About the Winery

Domaine Baud Père et Fils

The history of Domaine Baud dates back to 1742, and it wasn't until 1950 when René Baud, the 7th generation, rebuilt the vineyard which had suffered from the phylloxera crisis and two World Wars.

Starting with only 4 hectares, the vineyard progressively expanded to 20 hectares with the help of successive generations. Now, managed by siblings Clémentine and Bastien, the 9th generation, the estate continues to flourish and grow, with a strong commitment to sustainable viticulture and preserving the traditions and style that makes the wines of the Jura so unique and incredible.

The estate achieved the Terra Vitis certification in 2014 for its eco-friendly work and environmental preservation.

Domaine Viret

In a magical place steeped in history, Saint-Maurice, in the Rhone Valley. Advocates of the principles of organic and biodynamic agriculture, the Viret family has chosen to employ a particular form of natural viticulture throughout their estate. Known as “cosmoculture®”, this is based on cosmotelluric exchanges. Everything is organised in such a way that both vines and wines are able draw on their own natural defences.

Work in the vineyards focuses on reorganising the magnetic field and on the application of homeopathic and naturals preparations made from rocks and plants that are often found in the vineyards. Alain, Philippe's father, built the winery on an ancient Roman site around an underground spring which they believe energises the vineyards and the winery.

Matthias Hager

The Hager Matthias winery is located in the small village of Mollands in the Kamptal area of Lower Austria. Matthias took over the 12-hectare land and the family business at an early age. He aims to produce the best quality wine possible and to focus on being in balance with nature. The lands are cultivated according to biodynamic principles and are certified Demeter. Matthias has a vast knowledge about plants and insects, and about keeping the flora and fauna in harmony with the vines. Matthias Hager is one of the most experimental winemakers in the Kamptal region, Austria. He understood early how to work with different soil types from loess to clay. He established different product lines to highlight these differences: the blue one representing fresh, lively wines including Grüner Veltliner and Sauvignon Blanc; and the brown line gravitating towards more earthy, flavourful produce and the red line stands for no sulphites!
