Softly-textured wine from an estate in Montagne-Saint-Emilion. Moulin Noir consists of seven hectares of vineyards on a good clay and limestone site. The wine is a blend of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Franc and is aged 12 months in oak.

This notably complex right bank blend from a satellite appellation of Saint-Emilion offers appealing savoury notes along with a mineral, iron component and liquorice spice. The oak treatment is wonderfully integrated with wood spice elevating the bright red fruit. Harmoniously matured, graceful and very elegant. The staying power of the finish is impressive. Drinking very well now.

The high content of Merlot in this wines makes it perfect with spicy Asian dishes like Korean hotspots or Chinese food. It also pairs nicely with roasted lamb or duck terrines and with fatty cheeses like Comté.

Created to honour Nicolas Potel's mother, Françoise, the grapes for this wine are sourced across 5 Premier Cru sites. Ample aromas of steeped hibiscus tea, kirsch, and cedar wood spice lead to broad, well-structured flavours. The mid-palate shows fine density, supported by sleek, well-defined tannins with building grip. The finish is robust and balanced, with a touch of austerity, suggesting excellent aging potential.

Planted in 1998 on a south-east facing hillside with shallow limestone soil, this vineyard has been organically farmed since its inclusion in the estate. The nose reveals ripe fruit notes with a subtle hint of port-like character, while the palate offers medium-weight and refined flavours, highlighted by pronounced minerality. The finish is dusty and firm, though exceptionally well-balanced - A wine for the cellar.

Planted in 1927 near Clos Vougeot and bordering Les Echezeaux, this 31-acre plot thrives on east-southeast facing clay-limestone soil and is currently undergoing conversion to organic farming. Offering rousing aromas of black cherry liqueur, steeped tea and sandalwood on the nose. The wine's sleek tannins and refined acidity add sophistication to the lush fruit flavours, culminating in a serious, chewy finish.

The nose reveals ripe, menthol-tinged aromas of black cherry liqueur, spice, and delicate notes of lavender. On the palate, the rich, focused flavours offer a seductive, mouth-filling texture balanced by the wine's firm, acidic backbone. He grew up in a family dedicated to wine; and after gaining some experience internationally, he started his own project in the late 90's. The Maison Roche de Bellene offers a complete range of carefully cultivated and versatile wines, often made from old vines. All of the Maison wines are made with respect to sustainable and natural farming practices, with as little intervention as necessary to showcase their individual terroirs.

The vineyards of Savigny-lès-Beaune are among some of the oldest in the region, nestled between the city of Beaune and the famed Corton Hill. Sourced from naturally low-yielding, old vine parcels, this Pinot Noir is round and fruit driven, offering notes of cherry and strawberry, lifted by light floral aromas and a touch of spice. The palate is smooth and medium-bodied with velvety tannins and a juicy, succulent core. A gentle earthy grip lingers on the finish, giving balance to the wine’s lively red fruit and understated structure.

Perched atop the Côte de Cadet on Saint-Émilion’s limestone plateau, Château Soutard-Cadet is a small, single-block vineyard spanning just 2.7 hectares. Primarily planted to old-vine Merlot with a small portion of Cabernet Franc, the estate reflects the classic character of Bordeaux’s Right Bank. Its long-standing winemaking tradition was given new energy in 2015, when the property was acquired by the Lefévère family, renowned proprietors of several distinguished neighbouring estates, including Sansonnet, Villemaurine, Moulin de Cadet, and Harmonie. The wines continue to embody the region’s warmth and charm with a dedicated commitment to sustainable viticulture.

Soutard-Cadet pours a deep, inky hue and serves aromatic intensity, giving layers of blackberry, blackcurrant, and delicate hints of tobacco leaf and spice. On the palate, ripe dark fruit blooms alongside finely beaded tannins, lending structure and a refined texture to the plush mouthfeel, which lingers with lasting notes of sweet, spiced preserves.

3 bottles x Château de Parnay Chemin des Murs Saumur Blanc 2023. This wine is sourced from an entirely walled vineyard, this 100% Chenin Blanc shows subtle and refined scents of lime, lemongrass, apricot, peach and quince. Round and mellow on the palate with notes of preserved lemons and grapefruits with a natural freshness and classic Saumur minerality.

Pairing suggestion: This wine pairs well with foods that have a sweet and sour element: southeast Asian cuisine or pork chops with apples are just a few examples!

3 bottles x Clos du Château de Parnay Saumur Champigny 2019. Located along the Loire river on the most reputable clay and limestone terroir of Saumur-Champigny appellation, Château de Parnay has been producing outstanding wines for more than two centuries. This wine is made from old vine Cabernet Franc and it shows with beautiful notes of ripe red fruits, mint and spices. The palate is structured, silky and very well balanced. The length is exceptional.

Pairing suggestion: Cabernet Franc pairs well with grilled steaks and chops, Portobello mushrooms, green olives, pepper, rosemary, and mint.

Potel created the Bellenum Collection to offer exceptional wines at an affordable price. These wines highlight the developmental stages of specific vintages and showcase the diversity of Burgundy's climats. He selected the best crus and cuvées from over 2,500 wines, featuring notable vintages from as early as 1959.

With age, this wine has developed aromas of dried currants along with earthy undertones of forest floor. The palate reveals delicately balanced components of sweet, developed fruit with finely polished tannins and gentle weight. The finish is smooth and refined, offering the drinker lingering waves of iron-like minerality and a soft persistence of dried florals.  

Serve with braised beef and morels to compliment this wine's mature flavours.
