Sun in shining, flowers are blooming and we are still curating exciting mixed cases for you. Have a taste of Summer with this 12-pack.

Each case includes two bottles of the following wines:

2 bottles x Pearce Predhomme Chenin Blanc 2021 (Stellenbosch, South Africa)
White | Chenin Blanc

The most widely planted varietal in South Africa simply shines in this charming expression from Stellenbosch. Sourced from old vines and naturally fermented, expect elegant notes of white peach, lemon and tangerine with an underlying layer of crisp yellow apple. Bright and fresh on the palate, but with good depth and concentration, this wine is ready to drink now but will also cellar nicely for the next 2-3 years.

Pairing suggestion: This Chenin Blanc pairs perfectly with all kinds of fresh seafood; and also with tartare. Smoked salmon or trout would also be delicious next to a glass of this old vines Chenin. Its rich texture makes it suitable to be paired with goat cheese, roast chicken and butternut squash.

2 bottles x Paddy Borthwick Chardonnay Wairarapa 2020 (Wairarapa, New Zealand)
White | Chardonnay
93 points by Decanter

Lifted fruit aromas of nectarines, apricots and pineapple have integrated with fermentation in oak to produce a wine of great texture. Extended yeast contact has leant itself to a creamy palate, with almond and toasted bread aromas. This wine shows depth of fruit and great palate weight.

Pairing suggestion: A great wine to pair with seafood, roast chicken, soft, creamy cheeses or grilled fish.

2 bottles x Matthias Hager Grüner Veltliner Mollands 2021 (Kamptal, Austria)
Ehite | Grüner Veltliner

Matthias Hager's winery has about 13ha of vineyards in and around the small wine-growing village of Mollands. All of his vineyards are cultivated biodynamically according to Demeter. The strength of this family business is its diversity. Loess, clay and different kinds of primary rock (mica shist, gneiss, etc.) can be found in the northern part of Kamptal. This Gruner Veltliner has fruity aromas on the nose. These aromas combine with a soft spiciness and a mineral quality on the palate. It has a medium body and a nice long saline finish.

Pairing suggestion: This a typical Gruner Veltliner of the Kamptal region and a very food-friendly wine. It's a great match with cold starters and typical Austrian home cooking: roast pork, schnitzel, meat dumplings...

2 bottles x Famille Arbeau On l'appelle Braucol 2020 (Comte Tolosan IGP, France)
Red | Braucol

Vignobles Arbeau was started in 1878, when Anne Arbeau's great-great-grandmother purchased the estate. Braucol is a native grape of the South West, and the Arbeau famille cultivates it along the Tarn River. This wine with spicy blackberry flavours is fresh with acidity and gentle with tannins. Light smokiness adds interest. It is ready to drink.

Pairing suggestion: This wine goes very well with red meat, meat in sauce, game, strong cheeses such as Livarot, Munster...

2 bottles x Clos del Rey Le Sabina Rouge 2019 ( Languedoc-Roussillon, France)
Red | Grenache, Carignan

The Mediterranean influences of earthy, wild herbs make this robust red wine dense and concentrated, yet very lively. It displays a somewhat stony and intense finish that is still infectiously juicy. When it opens up, the intensity of the black fruits, the elusive minerality, the elegance and great balance become dramatically evident. Julien Montagne doesn't hide his wine behind masks; he employs no tricks. This is a wine made in the vineyards — truly authentic.

Pairing suggestion: This wine is great with BBQ meats, lamb, beef, you name it.

2 bottles x Pago Aylés Cuvée A 2019 (Aragon, Spain)
Red | Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo

Attractive deep cherry red in colour. The wine displays a pronounced intensity on the nose, well defined, with an extraordinarily complex and wide range of aromas; think dark red fruits, ink, and spices. On the palate the wine is clearly defined by its elegance and ripe fruit intensity. It's harmonious and well balanced leading to a rich finish.

Pairing suggestion: It's the perfect wine to pair with rich meats and anything on the BBQ.

About the Winery

Clos del Rey

In the foothills of the Pyrénées Mountains, not far from the Mediterranean sea, Clos del Rey is situated in the centre of almost 900 acres in the tiny village of Maury. The estate has been owned and farmed by the Montagne family since 2001. The vineyard itself is nestled among a protected area of garrigues (rosemary and thyme). The vines of up to 120 years old are allowed to grow natural and untrained, in the old-fashioned way, known as the goblet or bush style. However, it is what lies beneath the vineyard that lends much of the character and complexity found in their wines. The winery resides on an abandoned iron mine imparting red and orange hues to the soils of Clos del Rey, this Iron also adds a soft minerality and silky mouthfeel to the wines. Julien Montagne makes complex wines that truly represent his vineyards and his Catalan roots--you can almost smell the sun in the glass.

Matthias Hager

The Hager Matthias winery is located in the small village of Mollands in the Kamptal area of Lower Austria. Matthias took over the 12-hectare land and the family business at an early age. He aims to produce the best quality wine possible and to focus on being in balance with nature. The lands are cultivated according to biodynamic principles and are certified Demeter. Matthias has a vast knowledge about plants and insects, and about keeping the flora and fauna in harmony with the vines. Matthias Hager is one of the most experimental winemakers in the Kamptal region, Austria. He understood early how to work with different soil types from loess to clay. He established different product lines to highlight these differences: the blue one representing fresh, lively wines including Grüner Veltliner and Sauvignon Blanc; and the brown line gravitating towards more earthy, flavourful produce and the red line stands for no sulphites!

Pago Aylés

Pago Aylés was founded by Federico Ramón, who in 2003 began his dream of classifying this unique land as the first Vino de Pago in the Aragon region. In the Spanish wine quality pyramid, the Pago stands as a top tier or grand cru winery. Just before Federico died, his dream came true in 2010, as Aylés became the 10th Vino de Pago in Spain.

Today his three children continue to produce wines from this special land. The vineyard site has a long history of winemaking, dating back to the 12th century by Spanish monks. Influenced by the River Huerva and the Monte San Pablo mountain, the soil is a mixture of clay, limestone and chalk – ideal for making high-quality wine. Caves, ravines and old river beds can be found all over the estate, which is brimming with wildlife.
