This mixed case is your gateway to nouveau-Piedmont, which contains six bottles of irresistible classics.
2 bottles x Réva Barbera d'Alba Superiore DOC 2019. 100% Barbera sourced from the clay and sandy soils of Monforte d'Alba, San Sebastiano Novello, and Réva's single vineyard 'Ravera'. The grapes were macerated on skins for 30 days and, pressed, and aged for 12 months in tonneaux and barriques. The wine shows elegant notes of red berries, smashed plums, and vanilla. Full and persistent flavours of cherries and wild blueberries shine through, with hints of spice and a lingering finish.
Pairing suggestion: Pizza margherita, grilled pork, braised lamb dishes, spaghetti and meatballs; or risotto with mushrooms!
2 bottles x Réva Nebbiolo d'Alba DOC 2020. 100% Nebbiolo sourced from the clay and limestone soils of San Sebastiano in Monforte d'Alba. The grapes macerate and ferment spontaneously in stainless steel tanks for 17 days. The ageing takes place in Austrian oak barrels for 12 months. Nebbiolo is a light grape, but with a strong character. It's subtle yet bold, silky yet complex! You'll find aromas of fig paste, cherry jam, peony and pomegranate. On the palate the wine is slightly chewy but vibrant and has a dry-yet-fruity character with notes of red apple, plum, tar, and a tobacco finish with grippy tannins and a kiss of oak.
Pairing suggestion: Enjoy this Nebbiolo with risotto, all kinds of pasta, pizza... And have fun pairing it with Asian food and spiced dishes!
2 bottles x Réva Barolo DOCG 2017. The grapes for this Barolo come from the vineyards in Monforte d'Alba, Novello, Serralunga d'Alba and Grinzane Cavour. Fermented spontaneously on the skins for 35 days, it has been aged in oak barrels for 24 months. A limited series of only 4,500 bottles, this Barolo delivers aromas of sage, rose petals, red-skinned berry and a delicate hint of tobacco. The palate is full, deep and juicy, with peppery notes of Morello cherry and clove, and delicate tannins.
