Powerful & Complex

Lionel Osmin & Co was created by Lionel Osmin who wanted to champion the re-discovery of the unique wines and vineyards of this region. From Jurançon to Cahors, from Gaillac to Bergerac, passing through Marcillac, Lionel Osmin & Co has become the sole transversal signature of the wines from the South West and their vineyards whose secrets have not all yet been uncovered. They are proud to share a range of wines whose characteristics are faithful to their region and which are made for those who wish to share in the joy of discovering the vines and wines of the Southwest.

The terraces of the Cahors AOP nestle among the meandering Lot River - these are the age-old lands of the Malbec grape. This wine has a deep dark crimson colour (almost black) with hints of violet. Its aromas are powerful and complex, rich with black fruits (blackberry, black currant, black cherry) and spices (liquorice, cinnamon and cocoa). A wine that offers pleasure for the palate with its silky tannins.

This full, rich red wine can be combined with many French cuisine dishes, including: pan-fried mushrooms, meat fondues, truffled fattened hen, confited duck, coq au vin, grilled beef rib steak, tournedos, matured cheeses or Camembert, etc.

This product is part of the LCBO Vintages program. It may take approximately 3-4 weeks to be delivered.

This well-balanced wine shows both the tannins of Cahors and the fruit. It has structure, with a dry core that contrasts with the rich black fruits, laced with acidity and full of potential. Drink from 2020.
