The Baud estate dates back to 1742, today the 9th generation manages the winery. Siblings Clementine and Bastien, both under 30, are making some of the best value wines in the area. Jura is that narrow valley in the remote hills between Burgundy and Switzerland, which millions of years ago was covered by an Ocean and today still bares many of the fossils from that time. If you kick a stone in a Jura vineyard, it will probably be a fossil.

This mixed case includes 1 bottle of each of the following wines:

Domaine Baud 'Brut Sauvage' Crémant du Jura NV. The Crémant « Brut Sauvage » is Baud's top sparking wine. Its profile is marked by ripe apple, marzipan, and toast, thanks to a blend of Chardonnay (70%) and Pinot Noir (30%) aged at least 24 months on lees.
Domaine Baud Chardonnay 'Cuvée Flor' AOC Côtes du Jura 2018. This fruity, floral Chardonnay is a vital step in the Jura wines discovery process. On the palate, the Cuvee Flor has beautiful fresh flavours of white flowers, plums, honey, green apple and citrus fruits with an intense minerality.
Domaine Baud Cuvée Tradition Chardonnay/Savagnin 'Deux Grains de Paradis' AOC Côtes du Jura 2016. The Savagnin, as is traditional in Jura is aged under flor in barrel where it gathers a slight oxidize quality, similar to Sherry while the chardonnay is made typical fashion.
Domaine Baud Rosé d'Été l'Insoumise 2019. This is a direct-press rosé made from Poulsard and Pinot Noir. It's extremely aromatic and fresh, perfect to enjoy anytime.
Domaine Baud Trousseau 'Cousu Main' AOC Côtes du Jura 2017. Trousseau is by far the rarest grape variety in the Jura, planted in less than 8% of the total Jura vineyard, it has a biological relationship with the white grape Savagnin, being originally from this magical region.
Domaine Baud Poulsard 'En Rougemont' Côtes du Jura 2019. This wine is light-bodied. It's fruity and softly tannic. Poulsard drinks like pure grape juice; but fermented.

About the Winery

Domaine Baud Père et Fils

The estate history dates back to 1742, but it wasn't until 1950 when René Baud, the 7th generation, rebuilt the vineyard which had suffered from the phylloxera crisis and two World Wars.

Starting with only 4 hectares, the vineyard progressively expanded to 20 hectares with the help of successive generations. Now, managed by siblings Clémentine and Bastien, the 9th generation, the estate continues to flourish and grow, with a strong commitment to sustainable viticulture and preserving the traditions and style that makes the wines of the Jura so unique and incredible.
