No overextraction or excessive concentration here, just bags of beautifully pure berry fruit. Lovely sense of elegance. Really vibrant. Long finish. Tannins are grippy and abundant but not excessive. Destemmed, matured in concrete tank for 20 months.

A rich and relatively luxurious Lirac based on (60 per cent) grenache with (30) syrah and (10) cinsault. Heady blend in all respects, mainly fruit concentration but also warmth, alcohol and mouth-filling grain. Peppery to be sure as noted by an olfactory chirrup but also as the liquor slides past the gullet. Loads of berry flavour, a syrupy shot of kirsch and a shade of green. Definitely no lack of substance. Drink 2022-2025. Tasted April 2022.

A consistently vibrant, aromatic and well-priced offering from the often overlooked, but long-established southern Rhône Cru of Lirac. Perfumed with notes of wild flower, liquorice and fresh fig. This blend of 60% grenache, 20% syrah and 10% cinsault shows notable refinement and impressive length. Despite its full-bodied nature there is lightness in its tread due to fine balance. Surprisingly youthful but ready to enjoy. Tasted December 2020.
