Josep’s family has been making wines for personal consumption in their Masia, a Catalan word for farm house, since 1843. In 2008 the family decided to start selling their production: wines that reflect their passion for viticulture and their landscape. Their philosophy, both in viticulture and winemaking is very sustainable-based.
Sentits Blancs is an organic white wine from the D.O. Catalunya produced by the Puiggròs winery. This wine is made exclusively with the Garnacha Blanca variety. The grapes come from over 50-year old vines situated in Ódena, in the comarca of Anoia, cultivated at altitudes between 450 and 650 metres and are home to calcareous-clay soils. The wine ages for 5 months in new French oak barrels over its lees.
Sentits Blancs is a round and elegant white wine. It has a very fragrant and aromatic nose: there is stone fruit with subtle notes of flowers and Mediterranean herbs, and a hint of orange pith. On the palate it is structured, with nice toasty flavours. Perfect to accompany rich fish recipes and paella.
