Full-Bodied & Rich

La Fralluca is situated on the hills of Suvereto facing Monteverdi Marittimo, at about 120 meters above sea level in a magnificent area immersed in a wild, uncontaminated natural area, surrounded by woods and Mediterranean shrub. It stretches over 45 hectares of land, 10 of which are vineyards on soils characterized by the typical geological formation of limestone, medium textures, calcareous, with plenty of stone. Luca and Francesca, the owners of the winery, chose this area because they fell in love with the enchanting landscape.

A delightful skin contact blend of Viognier and Vermentino, fermented in stainless steel and French oak tonneau. Notes of dried flowers, apricots and honey - this is a perfect entry point into skin contact wines.

The extra bit of flavor in skin-contact whites is a huge advantage with spicy dishes, and they’re one of the best wines to pair with coconut curry or jerk chicken. They’re also great with earthy vegetarian mains like spanakopita or lentil stew.

91 points - Michael Godel

A terroir project of “nomadis viticulture,” Terre del Ving - Podere Borgaruccio takes care of old, forgotten and abandoned vineyards, in this case in Suvereto, a comune in the Province of Livorno, not far from the Tuscan coast. An extended skin-contact vermentino, full on in tart tang and grooving with swagger. Though from the hot 2017 vintage the acidity remains crisp in tact while fruit lingers into secondary accord. So reminds of pinot d’Alsace, like a still wine made as if sparkling, but not. Yes this does incite feelings of Champagne in still life. Works really well and is a joy at the present moment. Drink 2021-2023. Tasted February 2021.From family vineyards in Lyndoch and Rowland Flat, matured in a mix of French and American oak. It is medium-bodied, and fresh as a daisy with its shower of red and dark cherry fruits. It carries its modest oak with ease, the tannins positive and balanced.
