Leeu Passant is the Franschhoek Winery of Mullineux & Leeu Family Wines. The Leeu Passant wines are multi-regional bottlings inspired by the classic age-worthy wines of the Cape from the 1960’s, 70’s and 80’s. These were authentic wines unique to the culture, terroir, history and tastes of the Cape, and they strive to reflect these unique factors in their wines.

Radford Dale started The Land of Hope Trust in 2007, a project where the direct and sole beneficiaries are the 'previously disadvantaged individual' employees of Radford Dale and their children and dependents. The Land of Hope trustees know their duty: to equip the next generation with the skills and confidence to promote entrepreneurial vim, a sense of adventure and optimistic self-reliance.

A case includes 3 bottles of each wine.

3 bottles x Leeu Passant Cabernet Sauvignon Stellenbosch 2019
Red | Cabernet Sauvignon
93 points - Tim Atkin, MW

Stellenbosch is a natural home for Cabernet Sauvignon and this wine represents
the distinguished elegance and balance that the grape can exude there. The
vineyards are planted in the cooler parts of Stellenbosch - Firgrove; on the slopes
of the Helderberg Mountain and on the Polkadraai Hills. Using a combination of
modern and traditional wine making techniques, the fruit is completely
destemmed, naturally fermented and aged in 500L French oak barrels.

Notes of cassis, tarragon, graphite and cedar on the nose. These continue on the
palate which has a silky texture and great structure from the fine tannins. The
richness and power of the wine are balanced by freshness and finesse. The finish
is dry with lingering blackcurrant and blueberry flavours.

3 bottles x Land of Hope Cabernet Sauvignon Stellenbosch 2019
Red Cabernet Sauvignon

Top Cabernet Sauvignon is synonymous with South Africa’s traditionally most recognized wine region, Stellenbosch. This wine is from a single vineyard, rooted in magnificent decomposed granite & clay soils on the Helderberg Mountain in Stellenbosch. These ocean-facing vines produce some of the most complex fruit and individual flavours of the land, combining the geological and climatic uniqueness of this site. This Cabernet Sauvignon has depth and fullness with a plush and rounded structure and at the same has the restraint to remain elegantly poised. Amazing fruit purity in the shape of an expressive blueberry note rewards and intrigues.

About the Winery

Land Of Hope

The Land of Hope Trust project started in 2007. Initiated against the background of many “smoke and mirrors” projects purporting to uplift Previously Disadvantaged Individuals (PDI), although very few of which seem to genuinely do so. The direct and sole beneficiaries of this Trust are the previously disadvantaged individual employees of Radford Dale and their children and dependents.

What makes this project unique? Well, the primary objective of the trust is educational. The long-term social upliftment through the gift of high quality education, skills development and the power of developing knowledge. The Trust is making it possible to send Land of Hope employees' children to schools they could only dream about when they were young, which they were not allowed to attend, and which will give the next generation the intellectual ability and the expertise to ensure the positive evolution of our economy their democracy and community.
