Radford Dale started The Land of Hope Trust in 2007, a project where the direct and sole beneficiaries are the 'previously disadvantaged individual' employees of Radford Dale and their children and dependents. The Land of Hope trustees know their duty: to equip the next generation with the skills and confidence to promote entrepreneurial vim, a sense of adventure and optimistic self-reliance.

This Mixed Case includes...

2 bottles of Land of Hope Reserve Chenin Blanc 2019. This wine shows both the exuberance of the variety in its floral notes and its nobility in a compelling mineral acidity, naturally bestowed by the site in which it is grown. Balanced and poised, it provides just enough richness to please the palate and just the right amount of zing to refresh. We firmly believe Chenin will soon begin to earn recognition as South Africa’s most premium white varietal - with the Perdeberg (Swartland) and the Helderberg (Stellenbosch) leading the way.

2 bottles of Land of Hope Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2019. This Cabernet Sauvignon has depth and fullness with a plush and rounded structure and at the same has the restraint to remain elegantly poised. Amazing fruit purity in the shape of an expressive blueberry note rewards and intrigues. This is a natural interpretation of our site, on our land where we live and raise our children – and our fruit.

2 bottles of Land of Hope Reserve Pinot Noir 2019. This region grows vines which produce high quality Pinot Noir grapes, which means the wine has more depth and texture as well as presence and poise. Whole berry fermentation lifts the aromatics while also bringing supple tannins and length. Dark red fruit and subtle earthiness can be detected. This is not a Pinot for those who think that a good red wine must be black, oaky and full of tannins. This is a fragrant, bright and refreshing Pinot with wonderful succulence, expressive fruitiness and is full of character.

*Please note, this mixed case will take 7-10 business days to repack and process*

About the Winery

Land Of Hope

The Land of Hope Trust project started in 2007. Initiated against the background of many “smoke and mirrors” projects purporting to uplift Previously Disadvantaged Individuals (PDI), although very few of which seem to genuinely do so. The direct and sole beneficiaries of this Trust are the previously disadvantaged individual employees of Radford Dale and their children and dependents.

What makes this project unique? Well, the primary objective of the trust is educational. The long-term social upliftment through the gift of high quality education, skills development and the power of developing knowledge. The Trust is making it possible to send Land of Hope employees' children to schools they could only dream about when they were young, which they were not allowed to attend, and which will give the next generation the intellectual ability and the expertise to ensure the positive evolution of our economy their democracy and community.
