Mullineux Family Wines was established in 2007 in the Swartland region of South Africa, owned and managed by Chris and Andrea Mullineux. Within a very short time period the winery established itself as one of South Africa’s most celebrated wine brands, both locally and on the international front.

The Swartland has a very unique geology which allows for exploration of its various terroirs through Western Cape classic varieties like Chenin Blanc and Syrah, among others.

Grown in the Schist soils of Roundstone Farm, the home of Mullineux, these sustainably farmed Chenin Blanc bush vines produce small clusters, tiny grapes, and thicker skins, which lend to the structure of this wine. Planted on a contour to conserve soil integrity and ensure erosion control, this wine exudes the exact sunshine, freshness and phenolic balance.

With nuances of Asian pear and fennel bulb, combined with fresh quince and ruby grapefruit, these are precisely the highlights that lead to a great texture and zesty finish.

Last made back in 2014, Schist is produced with grapes from the Roundstone property. Elegant, crisp and perfumed with jasmine and aniseed aromas, some mid-palate cream and texture, sappy minerality and the faintest whisper of oak spices. 2022-27
