The soil there is very stony (Gneiss) which gives the wine its mineral quality. The vineyard is 40 years old and located in the southern part of Mollands with a beautiful view to Schoenberg – the next village in the valley of Kamptal – about 340m above sea level. This Gruner is skin fermented and aged in used oak barrels. It is an aromatic version of the varietal with sun ripe citrus, white pepper, stone and that classic Grüner minerality.
