Domaine la Grangette

Bordered by the "Via Domitia", crossed by the "salt" road and the "fishmonger's" road, the Domaine la Grangette is steeped in history. In the Middle Ages, the lands were part of the seigneury of the Baron of Guers.

The fields were cultivated with cereals and alfalfa to feed the castle's large cavalry (hence its name, Grangette, meaning small barn). Vines were also grown on a few plots; very old stone vats attest to winemaking well before the Revolution. The wine cellar is located in the restored stables of the estate, built in the 18th century.

Located between the sea and the Cévennes mountains, bordered to the south by the Thau Lagoon and to the north by the historic town of Pézenas, Domaine la Grangette lies in the heart of the Picpoules de Pinet Protected Designation of Origin. Today, the estate covers sixty hectares, eighteen of which are planted.

Bordered by garrigue stretching 6 km to Montagnac, this area offers numerous opportunities for walks and bike rides, following a network of paths winding through vineyards, garrigue, and pine forests, from which you can discover both the mountains and the sea. We are the only estate to produce Piquepoul in all three colors; our range includes 11 wines. We cultivate our vines with a commitment to respecting the environment. Our low yields contribute to an exceptional concentration of aromas.

Christelle and Matthieu Caron are the two brains behind Domaine La Grangette.
