Delivery timeline: It requires four full cases of each wine in order for us to build and fulfill four mixed cases. This process usually takes about 7-10 business days but may vary.

Located 50 km east from Saint-Émilion, the Barouillet family has been growing grapes for at least 8 generations in Pécharment, Monbazillac and Bergerac. Vincent Alexis, who joined his father in 2010, converted the vineyards to organic and is about to obtain the biodynamic certification. This mixed case includes 4 bottles of each wine.

4 bottles x Château Barouillet Splash Pét-Nat 2021 (South-West, France)
Sparkling | Sémillon

This splashy Pét-Nat is made from 50 year old Sémillon vines grown in clay and limestone soils. It is light in alcohol (only 9%!), fragrant, lively and richly textured on the palate. This bubbly has notes of lemon and lime, fresh apple and a touch of cut grass. Plenty of fizz!

Pairing suggestion: pop & enjoy!

4 bottles x Château Barouillet Bergecrac Blanc 2020 (South-West, France)
White | Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Gris, Sémillon

This charming and expressive white is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Gris, Sémillon, and Chenin that were grown 100% sulphur free on clay & calcareous soils. Together, they create a well-balanced wine – a surprising union between freshness, fullness and aromas. There is a lightly oxidative note and a bready, lees-y back palate that bounces off the fruit which is at once fresh and zesty and creamy and opulent. Easy, fun and just a little bit wild.

Pairing suggestion: enjoy it by the glass and with white meats or poultry.

4 bottles x Château Barouillet Bergecrac Rouge 2021 (South-West, France)
Red | Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Merlot

This is organic and low intervention at its best. With equal parts Cabernet, Malbec and Merlot the wine is filled with liquorice and ripe red fruit aromas. Notes of blackcurrant reveal a fruity and rich mouthfeel that still maintains freshness.

Pairing suggestion: it matches perfectly with grilled meat, roast, charcuteries, or with spaghetti Bolognese.

About the Winery

Château Barouillet

Chateau Barouillet has been a family business going back at least 8 generations. Vincent Alexis works alongside his father and grandfather to cultivate the land and has moved the winery into organic viticulture, starting to convert the soil in 2010 and fully converting all the vineyards by 2014. In 2020, the obtained their biodynamic certification.

The domaine controls 45 hectares of vines throughout Monbazzillac, Bergerac Pécharmant, and Cotes de Bergerac. Vincent continues to push the biological approach further by working according to the lunar calendar in the vineyards and in the cellar.
