Fruity & Luxurious

Valdesay takes its name from Old French meaning 'Valley of Hope.' This wine comes from the very good 2017 vintage, lauded as yielding 'nuanced and terroir-driven wines' by James Suckling and will deliver an elegant glassful of earthy berry fruit that'll pair nicely with beef bourguignon or coq au vin. You could hardly hope for a better red Burgundy at such an approachable price.

Also a nice option for pairing with grilled chicken, poached salmon or pheasant pie.

This product is part of the LCBO Vintages program. It may take approximately 10-14 business days to be delivered.

Handsome little Bourgogne double entendre pinot noir from Valdesay, a.k.a “the valley of hope.” In fact this is a very hopeful AOC red, bright, airy, uncomplicated and inviting. Any highly drinkable pinot noir from Bourgogne under $25 with fine acidity and a whisper of tannin hits the nail and the spot, both on the proverbial head. This is and does that. Drink 2022-2024. Tasted 2022.
